Install Instructions

MaxMobile 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1 for BlackBerry

If you are updating your BlackBerry device from MaxMobile 10.5 for BlackBerry or MaxMobile 10.5 R2 for BlackBerry to MaxMobile 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1 for BlackBerry, follow the instructions below:

  1. If you have Maximizer CRM 10.5 or Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 installed, and would like to update to Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 Service Release 1, click here.
  2. Uninstall MaxMobile 10.5 for BlackBerry or MaxMobile 10.5 R2 for BlackBerry from the desktop computer.
  3. Verify the BlackBerry device is connected to the desktop computer via USB. Click the Application Loader in the Blackberry Desktop Manager to open the Application Loader Wizard.
  4. Follow the instructions and click Next until you see the Device Application Selection dialog.
  5. In the Application Name list, disable the MaxMobile for BlackBerry option. Make sure the Action is changed to Remove. Click Next and finish the uninstallation.
  6. Wait until your device is reset and the connection with the desktop is established completely.
  7. If you uninstalled Maximizer CRM in step 1, verify that Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 Service Release 1 is installed. If it is not, install Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 Service Release 1.
  8. Verify the device is connected to the desktop computer via USB. Install MaxMobile 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1 for BlackBerry. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  9. After the completion of the MaxMobile installation on the desktop, and before continuing with the installation through the Application Loader, read the contents of the MaxMobile pop up message carefully. This message explains how to select the correct MaxMobile files for your device.
  10. Follow the instructions in the Application Loader of the Blackberry Desktop Manager.
  11. In the Device Application Selection dialog, click on the Add or Browse button and select the MaxMobile.alx file from the folder that matches your device's operating system.
  12. Follow the on-screen instructions and finish the MaxMobile installation on your device.
  13. Wait until your device is reset and the connection with the desktop is established completely.
  14. Reset the MaxMobile Address Book from the desktop.

MaxMobile Wireless Synchronization Server 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1

If you are updating MaxMobile Wireless Synchronization Server 10.5 R2 to MaxMobile Wireless Synchronization Server 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1, follow the instructions below:

  1. If you have Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 installed, and would like to update to Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 SR1, uninstall Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2.
  2. Uninstall MaxMobile Wireless Synchronization Server 10.5 R2.
  3. If you uninstalled Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 in step 1, install Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 SR1.
  4. Install MaxMobile Wireless Synchronization Server 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1.

Installation Notes

  • A device that has MaxMobile 10.5 for BlackBerry or MaxMobile 10.5 R2 for BlackBerry installed can synchronize with MaxMobile Wireless Synchronization Server 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1.
  • MaxMobile 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1 for BlackBerry will operate normally with MaxMobile Wireless Synchronization Server 10.5 R2.
  • MaxMobile 10.5 for BlackBerry, MaxMobile 10.5 R2 for BlackBerry, MaxMobile Wireless Synchronization Server 10.5, and MaxMobile Wireless Synchronization Server 10.5 R2 will install and operate normally with Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 Service Release 1.
  • It is not recommended to operate MaxMobile 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1 for BlackBerry with Maximizer CRM 10.5. It is recommended to update Maximizer CRM 10.5 to Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 or Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 Service Release 1 before installing MaxMobile 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1 for BlackBerry.
