  Question

Instruction memory reference errors when starting Maximizer

Problem

When starting Maximizer, an "Instruction memory reference errors" message appears and the program does not start.

Reason

There may be corruption to the Maximizer registry keys for the current user.

  Answer

Solution

The solution requires the deletion and recreation of the current user's Maximizer registry keys. This will result in resetting any custom toolbar or window layouts back to default.

WARNING! Be extremely careful when updating the Windows Registry. Incorrectly modifying registry keys can lead to catastrophic program and system failure. If you are unsure about any of the following steps, please consult with an experienced Windows user or a system administrator.

  1. Go to the Start Menu (or Windows button) and select Run.
  2. Type in REGEDIT and click OK.
  3. Navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/ folder
  4. Find the Maximizer Software folder and delete or rename the folder.
  5. Close the Registry and open Maximizer. This will recreate the Maximizer Software registry key.
