Important Notes

You must be logged into Windows as an administrator to install this service pack. Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 Service Release 1 must be installed before you can apply this service pack.

Issues Resolved

The following issues are resolved in this service pack.

  1. FirstName/LastName may be reversed when synchronizing Address Book entries from Maximizer to Outlook 2007.
  2. Replying to saved email does not display the Email Compose dialog box if the selected Address Book entry does not have an email address.
  3. Maximizer CRM may close unexpectedly when resolving a customer service case or creating a knowledge base article from solution notes.
  4. The Last Accessed field in a document's properties may not be updated properly for documents in the Company Library.
  5. A saved email attachment will not open if there is a period in the currently logged in user's name.
  6. If a numeric user-defined field includes a £ symbol, no SQL view is created for the field preventing Address Book Verification from working properly.
  7. Email formatting may be lost when using the Maximizer CRM Email window with Outlook 2007.
  8. Emails may remain in the Outlook 2007 outbox if you are using a Microsoft Exchange mail profile.

Installing this Service Pack

Apply this service pack to all computers running Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 Service Release 1.

To download and install this service pack automatically using Live Update, perform the following steps:

  1. In Maximizer or Administrator, select Help > Maximizer Live Update.
  2. Select the update to download (Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 Service Pack 1 for Service Release 1).
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

To install the service pack manually (not using Live Update), perform the following steps:

  1. Close all applications, including Maximizer CRM 10.5 R2 Service Release 1.
  2. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the service pack file (MaxCRM105SR1SP1.exe).
  3. Double-click the file.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
