Error Message when Opening Reports Created in Crystal Reports 2008

Problem

This issue affects reports created or modified using Crystal Reports 2008. When you access the report from Maximizer, the following error message is displayed:

This report was created with a version of Crystal Reports which is later than the version you are running. Some features used in the report may not be supported.

Reason

Maximizer uses the Crystal Reports XI Viewer to display reports. The report is created or modified using a version of Crystal Reports that requires a more recent viewer.

  Answer

Solution

There is no solution to this issue at this time. You should use only features from earlier versions of Crystal Reports in reports accessed from Maximizer. When you open the reports from Maximizer, the error message displays, but Maximizer is able to open the reports.

If the reports contain any new features from Crystal Reports 2008, the features are disabled when the reports are viewed from Maximizer. For a list of some of the features that are not supported in Maximizer, see Support for Features in Crystal Reports 2008.

Versions Affected

  • Maximizer CRM 11
  • Maximizer CRM 10.5
